Mind Games

I'm working on the first draft of my next novel, Mind Games. While that's going on, I've been submitting Intertwined to some agents. I've also got a big edit planned for Eight Minutes, as the draft for that is massive.

It's National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in a couple of weeks, so now is the time to get prepared: -

  • Plan your novel now - it's much easier to get your words out if you have some idea of what you need to write!
  • It doesn't have to be a massive plan - just a skeleton of the story structure, and some idea of the characters and what they want.
  • Basically, anything that stops you from sitting there on November 1st with a blank page!

If you're taking part this year, then I wish you the best of luck - and if you're not, try to do something that helps towards your writing every day anyway - whether it's plotting a scene, thinking about a character's motivation, or even editing something you've already done - just make sure you give yourself some writing time every day.

Happy writing!
